Locating component source files

When developing a component, you can store the source files in any directory. However, you must include that directory in the Flash MX 2004 classpath settings to ensure that Flash finds the necessary class files when exporting the component. In addition, to test the component, you must store the component in the Flash Components directory. For more information on storing SWC files, see Using SWC files.
